THE MIRROR

By Fareed Omar

Yes the mirror. A live reflection of how we live. Or rather how we lived live. I leave it at that, for with that we now live live. Such is life.

Live.  It is for you to derive whichever meaning. Regardless, once you stop or it stops being so, (depending on your interpretation of live). It and you are no more.  Some believe, they now live a new life, after life.

For some, although living life, feel dead inside. Either way, whether we are living dead or not, we are leaving dead. Thank God! We choose to accept...

Choice might be quite a steal. Its up to you. But upon you,...

Still...

The living dead are also leaving dead.

Speaking of which...  vroom or broom. We choose our mode of transport to our final destination. Ill walk you through it...

When we are about to die, it is said we are shown a chronology of how we lived life. And then we will know we have lived. And they will know we have left. And they, left with nothing but a memory.

So yes, death is in the mind. Death is recalling how you lived, how you should have lived. Death is regret.

Your inaction through procastination is killing yourself. Act now and live. Life is as we know it, death is as we knew and as we expect as foretold.

Everything you know to be true; that is life; your life! Everything you believe to be true;that is life; their life! For you havent lived it yet. A story shared is nothing but a limitation of what you can experience. If you believe it to be so.

The experience is in the now. Not when and not then but in the present.Nothing to look forward to, nothing to reflect on, except that which you see in the mirror now. Yes,you are experiencing the moment now.

As we look into the mirror, the reflection is not on what could or should have been. It is to appreciate on what is. It remains debateable on if we can change what will be.

The mirror, a reflection; of the past, present and future. Yes, whenever or rather, whichever dimension point in time you wish to view it,  it still remains a 3D reflection of you, by you.

That notwithstanding, one can still be a mirror to another. Yes the mirror can be not only the subjects eyes but the perception of how the others view the subject. Quite often, people look at themselves in the mirror so that they may remove any dirt that may be on their body. A reflective tool that helps us to clean ourselves and avoid embarassment. As we reflect on ourselves, we should strive to clean not only our physical selves but also our inner selves. We may not know unless we are told of our accustomed habits, but sometimes we need not be told. Always strive to improve our whole self. Beauty attracts. Outer and inner beauty alike.

As we mirror ourselves, let us understand that we may also mirror others. We may be the mirrors for others. We may tell them, in a nice way ofcoarse, of whatever offensive habits they may have.

Worth noting is the fact that mirrors are true only to.the subject. So as we seek to correct the subjects by telling them of any negatives, we should maintain confidentiality and not tell another. Welschmerz being the concomitant of any entrusted information divulged to another.

And yes! The mirror only sees and reflects the forward half of a person. What remains behind the peripheral is of no concern. Likewise, people always select what they tell to people about other people. The apple might not be as juicy on the side we dont see.  Nonetheless, we choose to accept what is offered to us by another. We trust and believe it to be  nutrition, only for it to be new treason. We learn to be careful which half of the apple we choose to bite.

I dare say what lesson, you dare see , what lesions, this life gives.

As we age we can tell...

As they age, they can tale...

So we ask and wish to be he/she who is the fairest of them all, who knows? We might just be, one day.

Chain of destined events, we got to live, only for us to finally wake up and realise that naive, we were at the fair by ourselves, and now we are fair to ourselves. But perfect in imperfection of emotions.

One looks into the mirror. One plus seven reflected. And yet, one still remains the fairest of them all.
