GENERATION!

By Fareed Omar

The selfie generation....

Yes the centenialls. They are very photogenic yet still pros in photo filters. They are obsessed with having their pictures generating the most likes. With the end game being to get paid. Such are the Gen Z's.

Why?The millenial age group, questions. The Gen Y's are at an age where they have just started commiting. They are obsessed with pictures of their spouses, girlfriends, children or whatever material possessions they may possess or admire.

We also have individuals who have acquired essentials in life. Even though they are probably confused on whether to call it a tweet or just X, their interest is focused. They will probably leave one picture and not change it for a year or more. If its a particular house they want then they will post that and focus on the goal. If its an organisation they like or work for they will leave that. In short they are loyal to a particular goal.

We do have individuals that are just about or have retired. Despite their name, An updated post about babies for them least interests them. They will probably accidentally update one though or have their kin update for them, without their knowledge or accept whatever is updated just to appease whoever is updating.Probably a grandchild or a young daughter.

Oh! I almost respectfully forgot the forgotten generation. The silent generation, will probably have someone of the other generations update their pics on the phones. 'Gukaa!' Hashtag. They pprobably have no idea what a hashtag is but would appreciate a hush most the time. Their preference is probably a phone that is not smart and although they do not like noise, their phones are usually extremely loud. Same applies when they are watching tv. The volume will probably be at the highest level and still they will ask what was said. Their importance is seldom noticed until they are no longer there. Families break up and the bond is no longer there. Squabbles may sometimes start. All in all they are the most important and should be cherished. Families that take good care of them while alive, continue to have a particular bond between them glued by the memories of how they each took care and developed a particular bond with the late. They are traditionalists! Through and by virtue, roots remain terra firma.

So question is, which generation are you?

Has it not yet occured to you that you are all? Each generation is representative of your past, present and future. Practically and figuratively. Each member of a particular age group is you in memory. Each member in your family has you in trait.

We are united and connected in every possible way of existence. Its time to appreciate one another. Its time to appreciate yourself. Its time to appreciate time. Not appreciating in-time. You are already in time. Your time.

Everything, we have read here. Its just about time. Your time now! When your time is up?! Its someone else's time. The pendulum continues to swing, it moves forwards, it returns to the particular centre, and moves back before returning to the centre. It starts and stops from the centre. You are the centre of everything right now. Everything that has hapoened in your past is important, its what has pushed you to the centre, where it all starts and ends. And its what pushes you forward to the future.Who you were, who you are is what determines who youbwill be. And once you are who you will be, you will still need your present moment as past to push you to who you will be again. Time remains a cycle though. It never quite changes. And yet we do. We can never change time, but we can choose how we spend that time. As we change we see time different. The hours may seem longer, the nights might seem longer... who knows.? But you know what, for now its what it is to you. Although its the same, its your use of time that matters. We do share the glass.... we can call it our glass. But remember its still an hour glass. We can only turn it at different intervals. Perhaps it past a grain of sand more than the next. Its time.
